Change: It Starts With Me
Do not dare to say that you can't change. Do not dare to say that you do not have the power to change something. Because everything in this world is set to change even before they existed. It is inevitable. “Life can either be accepted or changed. If it is not accepted, it must be changed. If it cannot be changed, then it must be accepted.” So, if I ask you what small deed you can do to change for the better, what will it be?
There are many things that has changed after they existed like Earth. Before, it was like a paradise-- mountains are filled with big trees, plants and animals; the deep blue see still has many creatures and life on land was still free like the birds roaming the vast blue sky. Now, it seems that everything is before's opposite. The people, people are getting worse to do such things to a paradise. Also, they are being unfair to other people. Social inequality is now noticeable. Because even some leaders are not leaders for the good. Ah no, they are leaders for the good....... of their own. These are the product of change, but not for better instead, for worse.
So, as an aspiring model, I must start the change within me. What can I do to change the world if I will not start with myself, right? It is not really hard to change if we are really persevere to do it so I will do my best to press the reset. After pressing it, I will try to make some changes in me that can not be a hindrance to those who are willing to do something good.
Hereis the song related to this entry entitled "Send It On" by some of the Disney Stars.
My Dream, My Future
There are times in our lives that we do not really know what to choose and to take and where we really want to go.Because that is the consequence of life that we had receive, we really have to focus on the things we really want in order not to see our future so vague.
Sometimes, I ask myself what I really what to do in the future? It seems really blurry everytime I think about it. Yes, even now that commencement is drawing near, I am still undecided. I remember when I was a kid, I always said that I am going to be an engineer and I will build my own house and my own company. Everytime our teachers ask us to write what we want to be in the future in my elementary days, I always wrote "I want to become an engineer like my father. I'm gonna follow his footsteps." That's what I've been planning before. Also, when I reached my secondary education, it's the only course that comes out from my mouth everytime we talked about our college lives. Not until I reached fourth year, when the time to choose what really suits my interest, my decision before seemed to waver. I thought that I was a hundred per cent sure of my decision but I was wrong. Now, I am deciding to take up pre- medicinal course-- Biology and take up medicine as soon as I'll be finishing Bio. Only this passed few months that I decided on this course. But I've got a problem on this, the course that I chose on my College Entrance Exam was Engineering. Now that I can see clearer future on the medicinal course, a problem stroke.
But, even if I am encountering this problem, I will surpass it. Just like our Guest Speaker during our Pinning of Ranks said "Dream what you want to dream. Go where you want to go for you only have one life, one chance to do it." When I have decided and if I can see a brighter future in any of the two courses that I want, I will go for it.
Preserving The Cultural and Traditional Heritage of Ilocos
It hasn't been long enough since they started to celebrate the Kannawidan Festival. Like the Panagbenga Festival in Baguio, City Ati- atihan Festival in Kalibo, Aklan and Sinulog Festival in Cebu, Kannawidan also lived up to its mission and vision to preserve its costumes, and cultural, traditional heritage as well as to patronage and promote its products.
In this fourth year of celebrating this said festivity, the provincial government made it more prestigious and bigger so as to attract more tourists and most especially to publicize its product and cultures. Also, Kannawidan does not only wish to help promote Ylocos but also to offer more jobs to the people.
There's not only one highlight of this event because the provincial government prepared more than what you could ever wish for. There is the "Tawid Ug-ugali Ilocano" (Ilocano Heritage Tradition)--presentation of the folk and cultural dances of Ilocanos; the Agri- trade Fair, Food Festival, Band Concerts, Concert for a Cause which presents the idols and stars of this generation, Zarzuela Ilocana, Bituen ti Ylocos, Saniata ti Ilocos Sur-- a pageant for the Ilocana Beauties. Also, there is the One Town, One Product (OTOP).
Kannawidan presents it very unique events to the public. Since there are a lot of people joining this, it will not only help our cultures and traditions but also helps in the rising of the province's economic progress.

Viva San Pablo, Viva Ciudad Fernandina!
Every 25th day of January, Vigan City celebrates its town fiesta and the commemoration of St. Paul, their patron saint. Its already been ten years that they are doing this celebration.
A lot of tourists visit Vigan to witness events that the city prepared.Aside from being the oldest surviving city of the Spanish colonial that makes it famous, the Longganisa Festival is an event of the city that BigueƱos can be proud of.A lot of people look forward to the performances especially when the participants of the street dancing show their widest smiles and that makes the celebration warmer.
On the day of the town fiesta, there was a parade. There were so many people watching and tourists even took photos.
Vigan Fiesta is really enjoyable and touring around its vicinity is like going back to the Spanish time.

Moment of Truth
Time won't make us go back to what has been done, rather, tells us to look back, learn and accept that there are things we can't control or change even if it means of risking something.
Count more days and third quarter will be over too. That's how time flies, so fast. Though, many things happened, many lessons are learned and regrettably, much time had been wasted. In these grading, I had such two wonderful memories: first, on my birthday and second, the day after my birthday and my last Christmas program in high school. For the lessons, I say this quarter is maybe the most difficult, really, because I was quite topsy- turvy and wishy- washy. For the time, it 's kinda wasted because of planning then down to nothing, every start of a new grading, I always tell myself that I will do better but it's the opposite. That's what I hate about me but I can't get rid of it. That is why I won't include to write in here trying my best next quarter rather, I'll just wait what I can do.
Some are now having their countdown to graduation, some are reminiscing their life as a high schooler , some are crying over the time they let to pass unworthily and some are wishing if three months could only be so long like a year but what can we do? It's the truth. There's nothing to do but to hope, to hope and to hope that time could stay still. I say, three months can be like a year because if we really want to make it to the fullest now, many things will still happen either fun or sorrow.
Hard to accept, but now, it's the moment of truth, the truth that will soon change our way o living as a students.

A Whole New World
How I wish I can go back in time so that I can fix everything that went wrong and make every second worthwhile especially that after the remaining three months, I will no longer be a high school girl and soon to leave the place where I used to be, the institution that made me discover more things. Regrettably, inventors have not yet made what everybody's looking for, the time machine so there's nothing I can do but to make every minute meaningful and prepare myself for the new world I am to land.
After three months, I am to commence again, commence in a new environment with new faces, new way of living, new learning or rather a totally new world. Things will never be the same again after those months because soon I will be entering a university. Some say its more challenging yet enjoyable because from that time you will be having a bit of independence and that will make you be more responsible. It's hard to find adjustments again but that will make things more enjoyable. I am way too excited to get there yet too lonely that I will be leaving many important things: friendship, places where I used to hang-out and more.
I may not be with them in the near future but I know the feelings that I share with them will last. With the three months, I will enjoy it with them and together, we will prepare ourselves in entering university.

The Shimmering Light
We, the Catholics, celebrate Christmas every 25th day of December. That has been our tradition from a long time ago. Everytime, when Christmas is nearing, we would all go caroling, busy buying gifts and preparing food and making ourselves happy. But, do you think these things are all about Christmas?
Caroling, gifts, foods? These are not the true essence of Christmas. Boyfriends, girlfriends? Oh! come on! When did Christmas became a Valentine's Day? What's wrong in being single for Christmas? What's with "Samahan ng Malalamig ang Pasko"? The true essence of Christmas is almost forgotten. The reason of having Christmas is almost buried.
We are all given equal opportunities. There is no one who has a cold Christmas for having or not having a boyfriend or a girlfriend because they are not the reason for us to have a happy and warm celebration. They are not its true essence. It's God and only God. His ever shimmering light showers us warmth brightens and leaves us a meaningful celebration but it's up to you whether to embrace it or not.
Lots of food, receiving and giving gifts, no matter what you have, as long as you are with God, you are experiencing a true feeling of Christmas. Do not wait for anything in return but be contented with you have for He had planned everything for us from the very beginning and when He had decided to give us us such great gift.

Magandang Pagsasamahan Tungo sa Maayos at Maunlad na Lipunan
In every country, there is always misunderstandings or even a war and that is inevitable. However, in order to achieve what everyone is hoping for, the peace and order, man must have a good relationship with his neighbor.
Though Philippines is a small country to be governed by the seated officials, because of individual differences among his men, peace and order still is hard to attain. But in attaining it, we must not always be arrogant with our own beliefs with us because letting others enter our hearts begins with accepting their beliefs and that will let them accept yours too. After accepting each other, be humble enough so that you can start a good relationship with each other.
Our society lacks camaraderie that is why we do not have any progress. So, we must strengthen our good relationship with our neighbor and start building a wall with them to keep you standing together even if there comes the typhoon or even an earthquake.
